Charles and Arthur Leclerc wrote a new chapter in the history of Formula 1 by becoming the first pair of brothers to compete on the same team. This unique feat took place in the first free practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, marking the end of the season.
Charles, Ferrari’s main driver, was alongside his younger brother, Arthur, a Ferrari Academy driver who currently competes in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Series and GT3. Arthur, 24, replaced Carlos Sainz during the training session, which lasted around an hour and a half.
While Charles recorded the best time of the session, despite facing a 10-place grid penalty due to battery allocation, Arthur was in 18th, enjoying the unprecedented experience behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car.
This moment was not only a family achievement, but also a milestone in the history of Ferrari and motorsport, celebrating the talent of two Monegasque brothers who continue to make their mark in the world of speed.
