Paper towels are an indispensable helper in every household. We use them when cooking, wiping up spilled liquids or for quick cleaning. But what if we gave them a whole new dimension? With a little creativity, they can become wet wipes, which will replace the expensive purchased versions full of chemicals.
Making wet wipes at home is easy, kind to nature and your wallet, and gives you more control over what you use in your home.

Procedure
Start by choosing a quality paper towel that is strong and absorbent. If you reach for regular toilet paper, it may fall apart quickly. Cut the towel roll in half with a sharp knife to make two smaller rolls. Scissors are not suitable for this task, a sharp knife will make the job easier. Once you have the rolls divided, remove the cardboard sleeve from the center. This step is important, it will make it easy to pull the napkins out one by one.
Prepare a moisturizing solution that turns ordinary towels into practical helpers. Mix a cup of warm water, two tablespoons of mild liquid soap, and one tablespoon of coconut oil in a bowl. If you want the wipes scented, add a few drops of essential oil, such as lavender, lemon or tea tree. This oil not only smells beautiful, but also has antibacterial effects. Mix the solution thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.
Place half of the roll in a resealable plastic container or jar that seals. Slowly pour the prepared solution onto the paper roll so that it is evenly absorbed. Let it stand for a while and, if necessary, turn it so that the liquid reaches the lower layers as well. The finished wipes should be damp but not too wet to handle well.
The result is practical homemade wet wipes that you can use in many ways. They are ideal for wiping hands, cleaning kitchen and bathroom surfaces or for quickly cleaning up after children or pets. Thanks to their natural composition, you don’t have to worry about irritating chemicals. In addition, you can easily adapt them to your own needs, if you have sensitive skin, use hypoallergenic soap and gentle natural oils.
