The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), sent this Friday (6) to the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) a representation with signs of irregularities in a ‘pix’ amendment of R$ 10 million authored by federal deputy Alberto Fraga (PL-DF) to a private hospital in the Federal District.
Dino speaks of “indications of crimes in the facts that constitute the object of the representation” and, therefore, sends the case to the PGR.
The order was given within the scope of the actions that deal with the . The minister stated that, although the facts reported are connected to the individual transfers discussed in the case, the process does not allow for debate on specific situations.
According to Dino’s order, the Public Ministry of Accounts of the Federal District questioned the allocation of the amendment to the “A Tenda +” project, carried out by Hospital São Mateus. The project would aim to bring health services to regions that are difficult to access and outskirts.
The transfer was made through a development agreement, signed with the Health Department of the Federal District. Subsequently, an additional R$6 million was approved for the same entity, even with the absence, according to the Public Ministry of Accounts, of technical clarifications and costs considered essential.
The Public Ministry of Accounts also pointed out irregularities in the approval of the work plan, which would have compromised the principles of efficiency, economy and legitimacy of public expenditure.
When contacted, the deputy stated that he had not seen any irregularities in the project. “I found the project interesting, as it really was a success. In the first trip to a satellite city, it served more than 3,500 people, with more than 20,000 procedures. The only meeting I attended was there, including a GDF prosecutor [Governo do Distrito Federal]”, these.
Fraga said he will await the investigations. “I am fully convinced that the project is good, it was implemented transparently and without any problems.”
The representative’s office sent a note stating that the amount was allocated through an agreement between the Department of Health and the beneficiary unit, and the work plans were made with representatives of the department. “The parliamentarian did not participate in negotiations on the agreed object”, he said.
“The choice of the hospital took into account its operations in the Federal District, the federative unit chosen by the parliamentarian, and its accreditation with the Ministry of Health as a provider of services to the Unified Health System (SUS)”, he said through a press office.
Dino also forwarded the Public Ministry’s questions to the Ministry of Health.
