The governor (Republicans) participated on Monday (Dec 2, 2024), at Palácio dos Bandeirantes, in the official announcement of Cacau Park, a Cacau Show theme park that will be built in Itu, about 100 km from São Paulo. The project has an investment of R$2 billion and a projected economic impact of R$35 billion over 10 years across the region.
“We are attracting investments in the State and talking about transforming reality. A park like this means a lot. We live this dream and we will see this dream come true. This will transform that region and will affect tourism in the State of São Paulo”said Tarcísio.
Secretaries of State, the president of Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo), state deputy (PL), and the CEO and founder of Cacau Show, Alê Costa, were also present at the event in the capital of São Paulo.
Cacau Park will be located in an area of 7 million m². The park is expected to open in 2027. The entertainment complex should have a shopping center, 2 hotels that will have a total of more than 1,000 rooms, restaurants, a water park and a convention center.
The expectation is to receive 3 million visitors per year.
Cacau Show talks about creating 2,800 jobs during the works, in addition to 3,000 direct jobs and 6,000 indirect jobs with the park in operation. “One of the governor’s premises is regional development and this park will leverage a very interesting area within a radius of 80 kilometers”stated the Secretary of Economic Development, Jorge Lima.
The Government of São Paulo, through DER (Department of Roads and Highways), will work on a project to build a local highway to connect the theme park to the SP-075 highway.
“We are creating something very relevant for the municipality of Itu, for the municipality of Sorocaba, and why not say, for Brazil”said Alê Costa, CEO of Cacau Show.
