SP Football Route has information on guided tours of 11 stadiums in the State
The Government of São Paulo launched on Tuesday (Dec 3, 2024) a tourism guide aimed at football lovers. The material was produced by the state administration’s Tourism and Sports departments in collaboration with football clubs and city halls in other cities.

“Football is a genuine attraction of São Paulo, closely linked to the culture of our State. It provides experiences that win over and delight the visitor, generating jobs and activating local services”stated the Secretary of Tourism and Travel of São Paulo, Roberto de Lucena.
São Paulo’s stadiums are highlighted by the number of tourists interested in visiting the spaces even on days without games. , in the east zone of the capital of São Paulo, receives 150 thousand visitors each year from more than 50 countries and Brazil. , in the south zone, receives around 5,000 people for the guided tour on the weekend alone. , in Santos (coast of SP), has reached 2 million visitors since its opening in 2003.
“This guide is an invitation for everyone to explore the history of football in São Paulo and be enchanted by its beauty and uniqueness. In each chapter, there are stories, icons and events that represent overcoming and achievements.”said the State Sports Secretary, Colonel Helena Reis.
The idea of the project is to take advantage of and stimulate sports tourism throughout the State. The guide provides information on guided tours in 11 stadiums in São Paulo, from , home to Palmeiras, to , in Bragança Paulista, where Red Bull Bragantino plays.
