Almost no one can imagine a hearty breakfast without pastries. That is, with the exception of people who eat cereal for breakfast, for example. And what we can probably all agree on is the fact that homemade bread is irreplaceable.

First of all, it tastes better than from a bakery, and secondly, it is more pleasant to eat your own creations, because you are simply happy that you managed to bake something. And if you follow the following recipe, you can please yourself and your loved ones with absolutely perfect homemade rosemary sandwiches. It’s not as hard as it seems, see.

Rosemary puffs

The basis of these delicious homemade sandwiches is the dough. You need to work with it and care about it. So take a bigger bowl first. Put 250 grams of plain flour and about 185 grams of semi-coarse flour into it. Mix both flours. Then add another 10 grams of dry yeast, a teaspoon of sugar, 1 and a half spoons of rosemary, a spoon of olive oil and finally a spoon of salt. Pour all this in 250 milliliters of lukewarm water.

Then make a smooth dough from all these ingredients. Really care and work through it for at least 5 minutes. After that, you can rest a little, as you need to let the dough rise. Once the dough has doubled in size, you will know it has risen. It usually takes about an hour, but sometimes longer. Then roll out thin rolls from the risen dough, and then braid them into the shape of buns.

The hardest part is officially over. Now preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Take a baking sheet and line it with baking paper. Then put the buns on the tray and let them rise for about a quarter of an hour.

Meanwhile, crack an egg and separate the yolk from the white. Then beat the yolk, and when the puffs rise, brush them with the beaten yolk with a little water. Put the buns in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes. And you’re done. Bon appetite!
