While Kieran Culkin has yet to let his kids watch the Christmas comedy Home Alone, his brother Macaulay had already released his most famous film to his own offspring. And actor Kevin McAllister’s sons are thrilled for their father. Culkin claims that his older son Dakota tells everyone around him that he played Kevin himself.
“He thinks he’s Kevin. I say to him: ‘Do you remember going down those stairs on a sled?’ He said: ‘Um, yes. Of course it is.” And I: ‘Remember when you had blonde hair?’ And he’s like, ‘Ugh, yeah,'” Macaulay told E! News.
Dakota even believes he fought the robbers himself in the movie, prompting his famous father to shout him out. “You are a lying liar who lies. I played that!” Culkin mentioned with humor. The sons do not yet realize that Kevin is really their father. “I’m much taller now. I have a lot more body hair. But yes, it was me,” added the actor, who didn’t fare so well in front of the camera as an adult.
