Do something nice and new for fun. Right now, for example, it can be a candlestick that you make easily and can literally take a thousand and one forms. The possibilities are endless. Let yourself be inspired, and then put your own genius and nimble fingers to work.

Candles are a must for Christmas and winter comfort

Are you in the mood for some Christmas crafts? Not only Christmas, but winter in general includes lights, warmth and the feeling of comfort with a mug of hot drink. Yes, sure. Christmas also brings with it hustle and bustle and preparations, cleaning and shopping.

Maybe that’s why you should take a moment to do something pleasant, and that can be making a simple candlestick from a mason jar or other nice glass, which can hide a candle or even a flashlight inside.

Don’t hesitate and get inspired by the contribution of the talented video author from the YouTube channel Wkutilcz. It even offers you three ways to decorate the glasses and use them instead of a candlestick.

Christmas candlestick: Safety, floating candles and hydrogel pearls

Of course, these nice products are not the only way to decorate glasses, and on the Internet you will find dozens of different ways to use and decorate glasses. But also remember about safety.

If you decide to use real candles, definitely avoid anything flammable inside the glass, but also above it. Even a small candle can do great things. Although flashlight candles with a flickering light inside a plastic flame may seem tacky to you, their huge advantage is safety. Such a candle can blaze merrily all night even in a child’s room.

The glass is also interesting in that you can fill it with water or another liquid. Glass canning bottles can thus turn into a tiny aquarium, and a floating candle will burn on its surface. But to make it not boring, slices of orange, cranberries and cinnamon sticks or green twigs of thuja, holly and the like can float in the water.

If you want to keep these decorations from floating up to the surface, you can use this trick. Get clear colorless hydrogel beads. Pour water over the balls and let them swell to their full size. Cover almost the entire glass with balls and then press decorations of your choice between them. If you are satisfied with the placement, pour water over the decoration. The clear hydrogel balls are invisible in the water, so it will look like the decorations are floating naturally in the water, but they won’t fall down or float up.
