Murisier surprisingly wins the Beaver Creek descent – Boisset falls badly

With an inconspicuous ride, the Swiss Justin Murisier took his first World Cup victory on Friday. The 32-year-old won the downhill from Beaver Creek (Colorado) ahead of his compatriot Marco Odermatt (0.20 seconds back) and the Slovenian Miha Hrobat (+0.35), who reached the podium for the first time in his World Cup career. Vincent Kriechmayr took fifth place as the best Austrian, 0.65 seconds behind Murisier. Arnaud Boisset had a serious fall on the finish slope and was treated on the slopes.
