Especially in western Slovakia, first-level fog warnings apply on Saturday afternoon. They are issued for the whole Nitra Region, for most of the Bratislava and Trnava Regions and for the Nové Mesto nad Váhom district. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informs about this on the website.
In the districts of Bratislava, Pezinok and Trnava, warnings apply until 11 p.m. In other locations do 18.00 h. “Reduced visibility represents a potential danger to traffic activities,” pointed out SHMÚ.
It also informs about the smog situation in the Jelšava area. “In the previous hours, the information threshold for PM10 was exceeded in the named area, but the conditions for issuing a warning about the smog situation did not occur – the dispersion situation is expected to improve in the next 24 hours,” brought up by the institute.
