Tschofenig jumps to his debut victory in Wisla

Wisla – Ski jumper Daniel Tschofenig celebrated his first World Cup victory in Wisla with strong nerves as the last on the Bakken. The 22-year-old Carinthian won on Saturday with the best distance twice (132 m/135.5), but only 1.4 points ahead of the Swiss Gregor Deschwanden and 2.9 points ahead of the in-form German Pius Paschke. The Austrians’ Stockerl series is therefore still intact. At least one ÖSV jumper also landed on the podium in the fifth individual competition of the season.
