Wagner Moura48, won a great honor on Friday night (6) at CCXP24, which takes place at São Paulo Expo, in Água Funda, in the south of the capital of São Paulo. The actor from Bahia was moved by the energy of the audience who applauded him from the moment he entered the Thunder Stage.
“I’m very happy to be here. I knew it was going to be big. It’s very big, but when you enter the stage and receive this energy it’s very strong”, he said as soon as he took control of the microphone.
The artist went and won a trophy in the shape of a dragon. During the panel, he spoke to the audience about his various works on television and cinema, as well as international hits such as and , released this year.
In addition, Wagner received a video with messages from friends such as Lázaro Ramos, Vladimir Brichta e Bruno Garcia. The actress Alice Braga went on stage to give his friend a hug in person.
Earlier, he also participated in a press conference in which he spoke about his professional plans. The actor said he has never made a horror film and would like to be a werewolf which, in addition to gender, has the problem of “a person turning into a savage beast and devouring the people they love”.
“My interest has always been to make projects that make me learn about myself“, he declared. “The choices I make, the types of films I want to make. I was always very consistent with the type of artist I wanted to be. There are a number of things about the industry that I never liked,” he said.
He also remembered the beginning of his career in Salvador, his homeland, when he did not have family support to start acting. “I started doing theater in Salvador in the 1990s and there were several my family said I was going to die of hunger. I was always sure that that was what I wanted to do. My advice to anyone who wants to be an actor is, if it’s important, stick with it. A dream is a very beautiful thing.”
Finally, some scenes were shown, with scenes by Wagner, Gabriel Leone, Maria Fernanda Cândido and Udo Kier. The film will only be released in 2025.
