According to Caged data, more than 100 thousand new jobs were created by the sector
Data from the (General Register of Employed and Unemployed) released this week revealed that MSEs (micro and small companies) led the creation of jobs in October, opening 101,151 jobs.
The number represents more than 76% of the total 132,714 jobs created in the month. The performance of MSEs surpassed that of medium and large companies, which, together, added 38,673 new vacancies.
The president of Sebrae, Décio Lima, emphasized the contribution of MSEs to the Brazilian job market. He attributed this success to the incentive policies of the government of President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). For Lima, programs like Crédito facilitate access to credit for small business owners.
“Brazil is moving towards a scenario of full employment, something not seen for a long time”stated “These numbers are a direct reflection of the economic policy promoted by President Lula and Vice Geraldo Alckmin, who put the population back into the Budget, encouraging small businesses with incentive measures, such as Crédito.”
During the first 10 months of 2024, MPEa were responsible for 1,336,822 new vacancies, corresponding to 60% of hiring in the country. The Services sector led job creation in October, with 42,134 new vacancies, followed by Commerce and Manufacturing Industry.
