Brazil once again occupied the highest place on the podium in motorsport this Sunday morning (8/12). Gabriel Bortoleto, 20, became Formula 2 champion in Abu Dhabi after finishing second, securing enough points to win the title.
Isack Hadjar, the Brazilian’s direct competitor for the title, stalled at the start and had to return to the pits, facilitating Gabriel’s path to victory.
Bortoleto had also already won Formula 3, joining three other drivers who are currently in Formula 1 and who also won both categories: Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Oscar Piastri.
