Botafogo lineup against São Paulo
To try to confirm the Brazilian title, coach Artur Jorge will have goalkeeper John back, who was suspended against Internacional.
However, there are three absences. Right-back Vitinho suffered an injury to his left knee against Inter and will no longer play this season, even outside of the Intercontinental Cup. Another casualty is defender Bastos, still recovering from an injury to his left thigh. Finally, Barboza will also be absent: he received a third yellow card against Inter.
The right-back will be occupied by Mateo Ponte, who came on against Inter. The defense should have Adryelson and Danilo Barbosa.
At left-back, Alex Telles is a doubt. He ended the game against Inter with great physical exhaustion. Marçal and Cuiabano are the alternatives.
Botafogo lineup: John; Mateo Ponte, Adryelson, Danilo Barbosa (Lucas Halter) and Alex Telles (Marçal/Cuiabano); Gregore, Marlon Freita and, Savarino; Thiago Almada, Luiz Henrique and Igor Jesus. Technical: Arthur Jorge.
