Grêmio and Corinthians face threats of relegation, but are looking to recover and reach the last round of 2024 free from this risk.
Corinthians’ situation is more favorable: with eight consecutive victories, they are guaranteed a place in the preliminary phase of CONMEBOL Libertadores. If they win again, Timão will equal the longest sequence of victories in the history of the Brasileirão in terms of points, achieved by Internacional in 2020 and Atlético-MG in 2021.
Grêmio, in turn, seeks to guarantee participation in the next edition of CONMEBOL Sul-Americana. With 45 points, Renato Gaúcho’s team needs a draw in the last round to guarantee their place.
