A vehicle from the Military Fire Department of the Federal District (CBMDF) was stolen, in the early hours of this Sunday (8), during an incident on the DF-457 highway near the city of Samambaia.
While firefighters were responding to a crash in which a driver lost control of the steering wheel and hit a pole, the criminals took the opportunity to steal one of the four vehicles that were responding.
According to the CBMDF, the accident was serious and complex. All military personnel assisted in assisting where two victims were trapped in the vehicle’s hardware.
One of the victims succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene, another was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Now the Military Police and the Civil Police of the Federal District have started an investigation to recover the Mitsubishi L200 model vehicle.
Highway security cameras show that the criminals fled with the vehicle towards the city of Águas Lindas in the State of Goiás.
