Thus, the Frenchman fell to last place. The winner of the GP was Paraguayan Joshua Durksen. Gabriel Bortoleto will compete in AA next season. He will represent the Sauber team. The country has not had a representative in Formula 1 since 2017, when it was on the tracks.

This shows how strong Brazil is. And I will represent you again in Formula 1”, said Gabriel Bortoleto after the victory.
“It’s the best feeling in the world, I can’t explain what I’m feeling right now. So much adrenaline, joy, everyone is here supporting me, all of Brazil watching me at 6 am. I managed to return this joy on a Sunday morning. It’s a dream, it’s spectacular. I’m not thinking much, I’m in another dimension”, he celebrated.
Gabriel Bortoleto started the race in Abu Dhabi with a 5.5 point advantage over vice-leader Isack Hadjar. The Brazilian driver started in second position, just ahead of his French rival. With Hadjar’s problem at the start, Bortoleto had a worry-free race. Upon crossing the finish line in second position, he ended the Formula 2 championship with 214.5 points against Hadjar’s 192.
