The diary Countrythe main one in Syria and pro-government, indicated this Sunday on his Facebook account that they are facing a “new page in Syria” behind him insurgent control of Damascus and apologized, saying that “the Syrian media and journalists are not to blame” for publishing the “lies” that “they” – in reference to the Government – sent them.
“We are facing a new page for Syria. Thank God no more blood has been shed,” they stated on their official website. “The Syrian media and journalists are not to blame. They were there and we were with them executing instructions and spreading the news they sent us. It was quickly proven that they were lies,” said the newspaper, which did not sign the publication.
“I believe that Syria will be for all Syrians (…) may God protect Syria and its people, from all sects and doctrines. We deserve a beautiful country,” concluded the pro-government newspaper.
