Mbappé breaks silence and criticizes the press: ‘If you don’t speak, they speak for you’

Striker Kylian Mbappé arrived at Real Madrid with star status, but his performance so far has been below expectations. This Sunday, France’s Canal+ will present the player’s first exclusive interview since signing with the Spanish team in June.

In a trailer released by Canal+, the attacker appears dissatisfied with the press. “When you are a star, if you don’t speak, people speak for you, because they have to speak about you,” said Mbappé.

The Frenchman also commented on his performance at Real Madrid, where he played 20 matches, with 10 goals and 1 assist, and said why he decided to give an interview. “Things happen every day while I’m not talking to anyone. At some point you have to talk to make people understand you.”

Also a star of the French national team, Mbappé was absent from coach Didier Deschamps’ last two squads. On FIFA Data in October, the striker agreed with the coach that he would remain in the Spanish capital to recover from an injury. However, Mbappé’s trip to Stockholm while the team faced Israel caused controversy.
