At least 910 people, including 138 civilians, have died since a lightning offensive began on November 27 that resulted in the seizure of power and the escape of the president, reported the NGO Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH). The NGO, based in the United Kingdom, but with a wide network of sources in Syria, recorded 910 deaths, including 380 members of Syrian troops and allies of the deposed government, 392 rebel fighters and 138 civilians.
