through SPTuris, announced the guidelines for the blocks that will parade in 2025. The rules were officially published in the City’s Official Gazette, establishing a detailed schedule for the event. The pre-carnival is scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd of February, while the main festivities will take place in the first four days of March. The post-carnival parades are scheduled for March 8th and 9th. For blocks to participate, it is essential to obtain authorization from the city hall.

One of the most significant rules for this year is the restriction of new requests in the sub-prefectures of Sé, Lapa, Pinheiros and Vila Madalena, which are the most popular neighborhoods in the city in relation to carnival blocks. Requests must be made exclusively through the city hall website and will be evaluated by the Special Committee for Organization of the 2025 Street Carnival.

The first phase of registration is scheduled to take place between the 13th and 23rd of December, aimed at groups that already have a tradition of parading in the capital of São Paulo. For new blocks that wish to join the party, registration will be open between January 2nd and 10th, 2025. This period is also intended for blocks that intend to modify their usual routes.
