The Brasileirão 2024 comes to an end this Sunday (8), defining the champion, places in international competitions and the relegated teams. In addition to the emotions on the field, the outcome is also financially significant, with a million-dollar prize pool for the clubs based on their final positions in the table.
The performance award is not paid by the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), but by the holder of the tournament’s broadcasting rights.
The amount allocated to the prizes is equivalent to 30% of the total collected from open and closed TV rights, being divided proportionally between the clubs, which receive nothing.
The amount each club pockets depends on their place in the table. The champion earns the largest share, 10% of the total amount, while the runner-up receives 9.5%. Values are adjusted annually for inflation, ensuring constant increases. See below the 2024 awards by position:
