Fernanda Torres is nominated for best actress at the Golden Globes

Actress starred in the film “I’m Still Here” by Walter Salles; work received nomination for best film in a foreign language

Actress Fernanda Torres was nominated this Monday (Dec 9, 2024) for the Golden Globe award for best actress in a drama film. The Brazilian starred in the film “I’m Still Here” by director Walter Salles.

She played Eunice Paiva, wife of Rubens Paiva, a former deputy murdered during the military dictatorship, and mother of Marcelo Rubens Paiva, author of the book that inspired the film. The work was also announced as one of the nominees for the best feature film in a foreign language award.

The announcements were made by actors Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut in . The ceremony is scheduled for January 5, 2025, in Beverly Hills, California (USA).

Fernanda will compete for the award with actresses Pamela Anderson (“The Last Showgirl”), Angelina Jolie (“Maria”), Nicole Kidman (“Babygirl”) e Tilda Swinton (“The Room Next Door”).
