Two soldiers arrested for involvement in the coup attempt in 2022 are transferred to this Thursday (5), by , of the (Supreme Federal Court).
The Army reported that Brigadier General Mário Fernandes and Lieutenant-Colonel Rodrigo Bezerra de Azevedo will arrive at the Brasília Air Base throughout the day, from where they will be sent to the Brasília Army Police Battalion (BPEB).
According to the statement, General Mário is scheduled to arrive in Brasília at 11:25 am, while Lieutenant-Colonel Azevedo is expected to arrive in Brasília at 4:50 pm. Both will be sent to the Brasília Army Police Battalion (BPEB).
Until now, the two were detained at the 1st Army Police Battalion, in Rio de Janeiro.

Moraes’ decision provides that the military must serve preventive detention at the Planalto Military Command. The transfer takes place to observe the procedures adopted in the case of special arrest of military personnel.
In the decision, the rapporteur defines that they can only receive visits authorized by court, except lawyers with a power of attorney in the files.
