Sebrae launches new edition of Impulsa Pequenos Negócios

Program offers consultancy and training to 120 companies in São Paulo, Campinas and Osasco

Sebrae (Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Businesses) and started the 2nd edition of the “Impulsiona Pequenos Negócios” Program. The initiative aims to offer consultancy and training to 120 small companies in São Paulo, Campinas and Osasco.

“Impulsiona Pequenos Negócios” includes a new track on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). Companies in the previous edition achieved a 92% reduction in debt and a 17% increase in net margin. The program, which will last one year, will begin in January 2025.

Furthermore, the Sebrae program promises individualized monitoring, based on an initial business diagnosis. Participants will also have access to in-person workshops and networking opportunities.

The inclusion of ESG practices aims to improve the sustainability and competitiveness of companies. A survey by Serasa Experian showed that 67% of micro, small and medium-sized companies are unaware of the meaning of the acronym, but recognize its positive impact.

Paulo Gustavo Gomes, head of Sustainability & ESG at Serasa Experian, highlighted the initiative’s commitment to generating positive social impact. “Supporting businesspeople in their search for greater professionalization and expanding their contact networks is essential to overcoming the challenges of the business world”he stated.

The results of the 1st edition of the program, held in 2023, included more than 5,200 hours of consultancy and workshops for 119 companies in 5 Brazilian states.
