What’s behind a new image of the “shape” of a photon

Admittedly, the story seems strange. Asking what a photon looks like is a bit like asking what sound sounds like. According to the theory, the photon is point-like and in this sense has no shape. Discovering a shape of the photon that deviates somehow from this would be a sensation.
