First lady Rosângela da Silva, a.k.a., spoke out this Tuesday (10) on social media saying she was relieved after President Lula’s (PT) surgery this Tuesday.
After experiencing severe headaches on Monday night (9) and underwent emergency surgery at Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo.
The procedure was carried out with the aim of draining a hematoma resulting from an intracranial hemorrhage, which resulted from a fall suffered by Lula in October this year.
“After the very successful surgery, the anguish of that night gave way to tranquility and the certainty that, with the dedication of the medical team and the faith and love of the people, he will soon be back at work again. So, stay calm!” said Janja in a post on social media.
She thanked the “prayers, affection and good energy” sent to the president.
According to Lula’s medical team, the president is doing well after the surgery, talking and eating normally.
Doctors also reported that there was no brain impairment.
Lula’s hematoma was frontoparietal, located between the brain and a meningeal membrane. The surgery lasted around two hours, and the president arrived at the hospital lucid and oriented. He had malaise, nausea and a semi-flu-like condition.
The complication suffered by Lula is common, especially in older people, after falls like the one suffered in October, when he. The president, who is 79 years old, should be discharged at the beginning of next week, according to doctors’ predictions.
