In addition to gold in the mixed event (34,500 points), the Brazilians won silver in the simple series, ahead of France (34,050) and Spain (35,750) taking the gold. “We showed our growth on the court. Consequently, the scores showed that they can count on Brazil in this fight for the Olympic podium”, shared the Lionesses’ coach.

Thinking about the individual finals, Bárbara Domingos, known as Babi, fought for medals in ball and mace, coming close to the podium in both categories. Geovanna Santos from Espírito Santo also competed, finishing seventh in the ball final. The gold in the ball went to Belarusian Alina Harnasko. In the mace final, Babi was in fourth place, just 0.250 points behind the bronze medal. German Darja Varfolomeev was the champion, while Harnasko took silver.
