The entrepreneurial couple Emerson Camargo and Poline Camargo, from the city of Limeira, in the interior of São Paulo, are proud to have created a company that is today a reference for quality and excellence in the private security sector. Currently, the company serves several clients with specialized services in the areas of armed and unarmed property security, personal security with the use of armored vehicles, as well as facilities services.
It all started in 2003, when Emerson, who worked as a military police officer, and Poline, a graduate in accounting with a specialization in business management and people management, decided to set up the company. In the beginning, the company specialized in residential condominiums, but over time Over the years, it has expanded its operations, also serving commercial centers, shopping malls, medical clinics, hospitals, industries, educational institutions and events in general. Currently, it even offers armed personal security services.
This success story began with Emerson’s experience in the Military Police of the state of São Paulo, where he served for almost 15 years, passing through several specialized divisions and battalions. “I used the know-how I learned in the police to structure the company,” he says. Poline’s training brought the necessary complement to the company’s management.

From the beginning, Emerson’s investment in its own professional training in the security area has been one of the company’s greatest differentiators. Graduated in law, he took several courses and postgraduate degrees in the areas of public and private security, people management, business management, among others.
One of the milestones of his career was training in strategic planning with generals of the Israeli army, so the company began to offer a complete service, encompassing diagnosis and strategic security planning, something innovative in the region. The work involves a comprehensive analysis of the location, including the entrance, cameras, physical infrastructure and electronic security systems.
Furthermore, it considers external factors, such as statistics on occurrences in the area, in collaboration with public security bodies, such as the Military Police and the Security Secretariat. The objective is to provide an integrated security solution, which combines human, technological, organizational and social means. This way, it is possible to serve each customer exclusively according to their needs.

Monte Castelo Academy Security Guard School
With the company’s growth, a new challenge arose: ensuring that the professionals hired were aligned with the company’s high standards. Emerson explains that, although the security guards had basic training, they were not yet prepared to meet the specific requirements of private security. The solution was to offer our own training.
This activity ended up becoming the basis for the creation of Academia Monte Castelo, a training school specializing in security guards inaugurated in 2014. “We looked for a strategic location at the entrance to the city, we designed and built the academy from scratch”, recalls Emerson. “It was an accomplishment. Today we have a school that is a reference not only in Limeira, but throughout Brazil.”

With 1,200 square meters of built area, the school has a modern and complete infrastructure for the training and specialization of security guards. The facilities include two shooting ranges, one automated in door that allows real shooting and another advanced virtual shooting simulator, which offers exercises to develop shooting skills from training levels to the most advanced levels, both approved by the Police Federal.
According to Emerson, the introduction of this stand improved student performance by 60%, compared to those who were trained only in the conventional system. The academy also has an auditorium, air-conditioned classrooms, an armored car for training, a large cafeteria, male and female accommodation, a bodybuilding and self-defense gym.
In the security sector, professional retraining is mandatory every two years, and many of the students who go through the school return for new refresher and specialization courses. “Around 80% of our students remain with us over the years”, highlights Emerson.

Together, the two businesses employ an average of 330 employees, take care of the safety of around 20 thousand people, not counting visitors to the places where they operate, including residential condominiums, businesses and industries, and train an average of 1,600 security guards per year, receiving students from all over Brazil. Growing at a rate of around 11% per year. According to the partners, they now plan to expand the company’s operations to other regions.
Recognition in Limeira
Prevseg, the flagship of the business, provides a complete security service, including armed or unarmed security guards, monitoring of security cameras in operations control centers. It also offers personal security with the use of armored vehicles. “In recent years, armed security services in condominiums and personal security for businesspeople and their families have been on the rise,” says Poline.
For the services provided to the city’s condominiums, Emerson has already received the main decoration offered by the Limeira City Council: the Diploma of Gratitude from the city of Limeira and the Civic XV September merit medal “Order of Tatuiby”.
In addition to business activities, Emerson and Poline also operate on other fronts. Among them, Emerson is director of the Brazilian Association of Security Guard Training Schools, with the purpose of contributing to the strengthening of security guard training and ensuring the quality of teaching in this important segment, he is also director of ACIL – Commercial and Industrial Association of Limeira and member of the Associação Prudente de Moraes – an entity with the aim of providing social services.
Poline, among other activities, participates in the Limeira Women’s Entrepreneurial Council, linked to the Commercial and Industrial Association of Limeira. “We always seek to contribute to the development of our city and the security sector”, she highlights.
Among the partners who contribute to the development of the business, they highlight XP’s role in offering financial guidance and investment advice. “We consider our advisor, who is now a regional leader, to be our financial planner,” says Poline.
The two also highlight the importance of events promoted by XP for improving their qualifications as entrepreneurs and expanding their network of relationships. “They generate great networking opportunities”, summarizes Poline.
The partners intend to expand the supply of armed security services, including personal security, the demand for which has been growing as the foundations for this growth have already been laid.
