“28 Years Later” hits Portuguese cinemas in June 2025 and the actor from ‘Oppenheimer’ returns to the role he played in 2002, in an apocalyptic London.
When it became known that Cillian Murphy would return to his origins to give life to Jim in the sequel to ’28 Days Later’ (2002), fans were ecstatic but had no idea what the character would look like 28 years later.
In 2002, Danny Boyle released 28 Days Later”, a feature film with a terrifying story about a pandemic caused by a virus and zombies, with Murphy in the lead role.
This Tuesday, the trailer for the film was released, which will debut in Portuguese cinemas at June 19th of next year and the Irish actor, who in 2023 won the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in ‘Oppenheimer’, appeared unrecognizable and perhaps less alive.
Almost 30 years later, in a post-apocalyptic world, Cillian Murphy’s character, who appears in the form of a zombie, is seen walk through the green fields of England.
Jim will not have resisted the post-apocalyptic world that he fought tooth and nail like a delivery man who wakes up from a coma and discovers a city of London taken over by the walking dead.
