The Microsoft-backed company () aims to develop AI tools that produce video from text in a similar way to those created by Meta () and Alphabet (GOOGL).
OpenAI’s text-to-video AI model, called Sora, was first introduced in February, but access has been limited. It is now available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users as Sora Turbo at no additional cost.

“We are working on personalized pricing for different types of users, which we plan to make available early next year,” the company said.
Users will be able to generate videos with a resolution of up to 1080p, with up to 20 seconds in length and in aspect ratios widescreenvertical or square.

OpenAI said Sora will be accessible in other regions where ChatGPT is present.
