A man in Utah was arrested after crashing a car he had recently purchased into the driveway of a dealership in Sandy.
According to local police, the man purchased a Subaru Outback from the Tim Dahle Mazda dealership on Monday morning. After experiencing mechanical problems, he returned to the location in hopes of obtaining a refund. However, he was informed that the vehicle had been sold “as is” and that it would not be accepted for return.
Frustrated with the response, the man allegedly threatened to drive the car into the dealership’s entrance if the money was not returned to him. Later the same day, he carried out his threat, crashing his vehicle into the front of the establishment. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The man’s identity has not been released, but he was arrested on charges of aggravated criminal mischief and reckless conduct.
