Maiduguri – In northwestern Nigeria, a gang of armed men kidnapped more than 50 women and girls during an attack on a village, according to police and residents. The incident occurred on Sunday in the village of Kakin Dawa, police in Zamfara state said on Tuesday. Additional security forces would be deployed to the area. Residents reported that dozens of attackers armed with assault rifles came into the village on motorcycles in the afternoon.
