Benfica and Bologna face each other this Wednesday, at Estádio da Luz, in the Champions League. The PSP considers it a “high-risk” game, which should bring together 60,000 people, and calls for “sports fair play” from fans.
A (PSP) announced that it will implement, this Wednesday, a security operation due to the match between Benfica and Bolgna, in the Champions League. The game starts at 8pm, but police actions begin in the morning.
“This football game is considered a “high risk” event, with a predicted capacity of approximately 60 thousand people”, says the PSP, in a statement.
The security operation will cause some traffic restrictions in different parts of the city of Lisbon:
- From 17h30 on Avenida do Colégio Militar
- From 18:00 on Avenida General Norton de Matos and Avenida Lusíada
- From 6:30 p.m. already Avenida Machado dos Santos, Rua João de Freitas Branco, Rua Frei Luís de Granada and Rua Hernâni
The PSP calls on fans to “adopt sporting fair play behavior, to avoid actions that put the safety of third parties at risk as well as to disrupt public order and tranquility and to respect the instructions of the police officers on duty”.
