The São Paulo Civil Police requested the conversion of the arrest from flagrant arrest into preventive arrest in the case of five men who hunted, killed and carried the body of a robber in the back of a pickup truck. Two of them are CACs (Hunters, Shooters and Weapon Collectors). The case happened on Monday (9), in the Parque dos Príncipes neighborhood, West Zone of the capital, after one of those involved had his car stolen. The group was arrested red-handed during a police raid.

According to information from the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, the group dragged and loaded the victim’s body into the bed of a Dodge-Ram pickup truck, when they were charged and detained by municipal guards. One of those involved, identified as Laércio Neves, said that his car was stolen by an armed duo minutes before.
After the robbery, he called the other four to go after the vehicle. Using the tracking system, the group managed to locate the stolen car at the same time as two men were removing goods from a van. When approaching the robbers, two of the members shot at the men and hit one of them, who did not resist. The other managed to escape.

As reported by the newspaper Estadão, Laércio acted with the help of Renato Gomes Filgueiras and his two sons, Leandro and Alexandre Soares das Neves, as well as a neighbor called Erivaldo de Oliveira, who is also a CAC and owner of the Dodge-Ram used in the hunt for criminals.
Security camera footage recorded the moment the group approached the robbers, who were stealing another vehicle. Upon seeing the armed men, one of the men raises his hands in a sign of surrender, while his accomplice accelerates and runs away.
At this moment, a member of the group shoots the surrendered suspect. Police did not say how many shots were fired. The body is then dragged and thrown onto the pickup bed.
The case was registered as homicide, vehicle theft, procedural fraud and attempted murder at the 14th Pinheiros Police Department.
