The president () maintains stability in the assessment of his government and is about to complete two years at Palácio do Planalto, says a Genial/Quaest survey released this Wednesday (11).
The survey shows that 33% evaluate the government positively, compared to 31% who have a negative opinion about the PT administration, and 34% who consider it to be regular. Still, 2% did not know or did not want to answer.
The numbers fluctuated within the margin of error, when there were 32% with favorable opinions of the government, the same 31% with a negative evaluation and 33% among those who see the administration as regular.
Quaest interviewed in person this round 8,598 voters aged 16 or over from the 4th until Monday (9). The margin of error is one percentage point, plus or minus.
According to Quaest, the numbers for this third term are at a similar level to those obtained by the former president () at the end of his second year in government. In an Ibope survey at the end of 2020, the former president had 35% positive evaluations, 33% negative and 30% regular.
Although Lula will maintain his numbers during 2024, his evaluation was better in the first year of his term. Its , when it registered 42% positive opinions, compared to 24% regular and 29% positive.
The research and consultancy company also asked voters their opinion regarding the work the president would be doing, to which 52% said they approved, compared to 47% who said they disapproved, and 1% who did not know or did not want to answer.
For 41%, the current Lula government is worse than the PT’s two previous administrations, from 2003 to 2010, marked by economic growth and expansion of social benefits. 35% say they are better, and 19% believe it is the same. 5% did not want to or did not know how to answer.
Furthermore, 42% evaluate this PT administration as better than the Bolsonaro administration. 37% see the mandate as worse than the previous one, and 20% see no differences between the two governments.
