Four years after the presenter left SIC, the legal dispute came to an end.
SIC, the company Amor Ponto and Cristina Ferreira reported, this Wednesday, that “after constructive negotiations”, the parties reached an agreement. This ends a legal battle that lasted more than four years.
“SIC, Amor Ponto and Cristina Ferreira inform that they have reached a mutual agreement within the scope of the dispute that pitted the former against the latter. This agreement, reached after constructive negotiations, puts an end to the existing dispute between the parties. Both sides express satisfaction with the resolution reached.”
It is worth remembering that in September 2020, the SIC filed a lawsuit against the presenter and director of fiction and entertainment at TVI at the Judicial Court of the District of Lisbon.

The Sintra Court ordered Amor Ponto to “pay the author SIC Sociedade Independente de Comunicação SA the amount of 3,315,998.67 euros, plus interest, at the commercial rate, from the date of service until effective and full payment”.
Although the Sintra Court partially ruled in favor of the parties, recognizing a payment of 3,536,666.67 euros from Amor Ponto to SIC, it acquitted the presenter.
