The majority of mobilizations that occurred in the public service were composed of warning strikes (71%), that is, mobilizations that have as a plan the advance announcement of their duration.

The main reason for the strikes in the first 6 months of the year was the salary adjustment, with 194 strikes for this reason, representing 43%. In 2nd place came requests for better working conditions (148), which represent 33%. In 3rd position is the demand for improvement in public services (110), which represents 24.4%.

In 129 records of strikes in the 1st semester (29% of the total) there is information on the means adopted to resolve conflicts. In most cases (78%) negotiations were opened – directly or through mediation. In 42% of these records there was some type of involvement by the Judiciary.

There were 186 strikes carried out by workers in the private sector, which resulted in 3,335 hours of downtime. Strikes in the services sector accounted for 63% of these mobilizations – which, in downtime, is equivalent to 47% of the total, or 1,566 hours.
