For Andreas Zehetner, the unknown has always held a certain fascination: going to a remote island, meeting strangers, getting a feel for the changes to which these places are subject. “When you’re on an island that only protrudes one or two meters from the sea, you know that it might soon no longer exist. That’s a stark idea,” says the 28-year-old from Germany. As long as he has the chance and the money to see it, he doesn’t want to miss it.
