Al-Ahly, from Egypt, faces Pachuca, from Mexico, this Saturday (14/12), at 2pm (Brasília time), in the semi-final of the Intercontinental Cup, the 2024 Club World Cup. The duel will be at the 974 Stadium , in Doha, Qatar. The winner takes on Real Madrid in the final.
The Egyptian club is the current champion of the African Champions League, a competition where the biggest winner is, with 12 titles – the second biggest winner, Zamalek, has five trophies. In the Egyptian Championship, the team is in third place, with eight points in four games.
In the Intercontinental Cup, the team eliminated Al Ain, from the United Arab Emirates, winning 3-0 to guarantee a place in the semi-finals. Although this is the ninth time that Al-Ahly has competed in the World Cup, the team is looking to reach the final for the first time.

Goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir, with a muscle problem, is doubtful for the match. Right-back Mohamed Hany and striker Karim Fouad, injured, are confirmed absences.
Al-Ahly’s two top scorers this season are Egyptian Taher Mohamed and Palestinian Wesam Abou Ali, both with five goals for the team in the 12 games so far this season.
