If you want to delight your family and guests with an original baking, you definitely have to try it orange cake. The list of ingredients is not long, and the method of preparation does not require any special confectionery skills. What captivates is definitely the effect. The cake is delicious, soft, elastic and melts in your mouth. It tastes great with winter tea.
To prepare orange cakeyou will need the following ingredients:
- 2 oranges,
- 50 g dried cranberries,
- 150 g sugar,
- 100 g of soft butter,
- 3 eggs,
- 100 ml of milk,
- 300 g of wheat flour,
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
- a pinch of salt,
- 1 vanilla pod,
- powdered sugar (for decoration).
Wash the oranges thoroughly. Grate the peel (only the orange part) and squeeze the juice. Soak the cranberries in the juice.
Cream the butter and sugar into a light, fluffy mass. Without stopping mixing, gradually add the eggs and then the milk.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt through a sieve. Mix the dry ingredients into the dough in batches. Add vanilla pod seeds and grated orange peel to the dough. Gently mix in the orange juice and cranberries.
Transfer the dough to a greased and floured cake tin (35 cm). Place in the oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for about 40-50 minutes (until the stick is dry).
When the cake has cooled completely, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
