Don't pay PLN 10 per cube. You can make delicious butter at home, you only need one ingredient

If PLN 10 for a stick of butter will become our new norm? Everything is possible. Annually, the average increase in the price of butter is about 30%, so the numbers are definitely impressive. The surprisingly high cost of such a basic product worries many consumers – and it’s no wonder. Especially in view of the upcoming Christmas holidays, such information does not fill us with optimism.

No wonder so many people hunt for butter promotions and then freeze large amounts to stock. You have to somehow cope by looking for bargains or… making butter yourself. Try it – it’s really simple.

Let’s start with where yeses come from high butter pricesa. There are at least several factors.

First of all, the problem is the rising cost of production – animal feed and farmers’ work. The increasingly higher prices of energy and transport are also important. Moreover, milk production has decreased in the European Union, so the availability of milk fats for use in butter production is severely limited.

We are also facing global increases in prices and demand butter. Inflation, rising transport prices, increased demand, e.g. in China – all this has significantly influenced the increase in prices of this desired product also on our continent.

However, there is an alternative – many people make homemade bread, so why not make your own butter? It is not difficult, the effect is delicious and gives great satisfaction.

The only ingredient you will need to make butter at home is cream – the fattier, the better. Of course, cream cheese, which you can find in every store, works best. Of course, it would be ideal to buy an ecological product straight from a farm.

Additionally, you need a bit of salt and a mixer with whisk attachments. Remember that the cream should be at room temperature.

Pour 1 liter of cream into a bowl and mix at medium speed. Add a bit of salt and continue mixing, this time at high speed, until the cream is divided into a solid part, i.e. butter, and a liquid part – buttermilk.

Use a strainer to separate one from the other. Homemade butter shape into any shape.
