A fire at a private hospital in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu on Thursday night left at least six people dead and another 12 people injured, police said.
The fire team responded to the call at the scene and was seen containing the fire that spread to the hospital building. Meanwhile, a crowd of spectators gathered outside. The fire started in the reception area of City Hospital in Dindigul, before spreading to other floors of the building.
Initial investigations have not yet revealed the cause of the fire.
