Luís Figo, former world football star, was a guest on the Spanish program La Revuelta, where he addressed various topics, from his historic transfer from Barcelona to Real Madrid to the future of new generations of players. However, the moment that caught the most attention was when presenter David Broncano directly asked how much money Figo had in the bank.
At first, Figo responded with humor: “When I went from Barcelona to Real Madrid, I was the most expensive transfer in football, but the money wasn’t for me. Even so, he was earning well at the time.” Broncano insisted and asked the former player to reveal an estimate. After some reluctance, Figo admitted: “I have between 20 and 50 million euros in the bank”.
The interview also featured relaxed moments, including an exchange of Christmas gifts. When the presenter asked for the belt that Figo wore, with his initials engraved on it, the former player did not hesitate to offer it.
Figo was on the program to promote a charity game organized by LaLiga, showing that, in addition to being a football icon, he continues to support noble causes.
