Actor Jakub Jablonský (29) has become one of the favorites of the Dunaj series, at your service. He won the hearts of the audience not only with his acting but also with his dancing. The modern sex symbol overcame the competition and became the winner of the 9th edition of Let’s Dance. Before his star skyrocketed, he experienced rough times, which he talked about in the podcast.
Jakub poured ashes on his head. He admitted that he is not economically literate and for a long time his account dropped to zero. He sees his economic literacy as a problem, but he is unable to solve it. In the past, he was already in a situation where the Social and Health Insurance Company sought him out. It happened at the beginning of the pandemic, when Jakub finished his studies.
“I received a letter from the social worker and the health worker. I was looking at the two amounts, they merged together in my head, I realized that they closed everything, I can’t go to work, and I have to pay so much to the state. With tears in my eyes, I called the social services, that I just don’t have any,” he confided.
The well-known actor was in fact in the fact that he does not have to pay taxes for the first year after graduating from college and it seems that he has them forgiven. “Nobody ever told me that if you earn more than €6,500 a year during school, you have to pay taxes. From that income, which is about 500-600 euros, they calculated it for me at 380 euros in total. From that annual income, I was supposed to give 380 euros a month to the state, and I was supposed to live off the rest. It was really a shock” he added.
Due to the pandemic, all the agreed collaborations fell through for Jakub, so he had to do everything he could to get out of the situation. “During the corona, I worked as an interpreter, translating serial documents into dubbings. I worked as a florist. I enjoyed it,” he specified. “As a proper artist and future actor, I had to work as a waiter,” added Jablonský.
