The president-elect of the , , criticized the use of missiles supplied by the USA to carry out attacks on Russian territory, in an interview with the magazine Time published this Thursday (12), suggesting that it would change Washington’s current policy towards Ukraine.
“It’s crazy what’s happening. It’s crazy. I strongly disagree with sending missiles hundreds of kilometers from Russia. Why are we doing this? We are only worsening this war and making it worse. We should not have allowed this to be done,” Trump said in an interview to mark his Time.
Last month, the US president called on Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles for strikes on Ukraine’s territory, in his latest attempt to propel Ukraine into the battle to repel a Russian military invasion.

The decision was taken after requests from the President of Ukraine, . The White House cited Russia’s use of 15,000 North Korean troops along the front line as the main reason Biden changed his mind on the missiles.
Trump has said he would like to bring a quick end to the nearly three-year war. He told Time that he had a “very good plan” to help, but that if he revealed it now “it would become an almost worthless plan.”
Trump, who takes office on January 20, met last weekend with Zelensky and the French president, in Paris.

He told the Time that the number of people dying in the conflict is not sustainable.
“I’m talking about both sides. It is really advantageous for both sides that this is done”, he said.
