Defender Marco Antônio is Londrina’s new reinforcement for the 2025 season. The 24-year-old defender arrives to compete in the Campeonato Paranaense and Série C of the Brazilian Championship. Revealed at Toca do Leão, the player was loaned by Vitória until the end of Série C.
Marco Antônio began his career in Vitória’s youth categories, rising to professional status in 2021. In 2022 and 2023, he gained access to Série C and Série B with the Bahian club. In 2024, he played in the Campeonato Paulista for Portuguesa and the Brazilian Series C for Náutico.
An important figure in the red-black club’s campaign in Series C in 2022, Marco Antônio goes to one of the teams of the former president of Bahia, Guilherme Bellintani. Owner of Squadra Sports, the former Tricolor leader owns 90% of Londrina’s SAF, in addition to being in charge of Ypiranga-BA, Linense-SP and VF4-PB.
In his new destination, he will be a defender partner of another player who played prominently at Leão, Wallace Reis. Wallace came up through Vitória’s youth teams in the under-15s and reached the professional ranks, remaining until 2010, when he transferred to Corinthians. Wearing the red-black shirt, the player made 251 appearances in his career, scoring 14 goals throughout his time with the Bahian team.
