The retirement age does not change in the following year. In 2025, insured persons born between 1961 and 1963 will reach retirement age, depending on the number of children raised and the month of birth. Individual groups of insured persons are listed in the table on the website of the Social Insurance Company (SP). SP spokesman Martin Kontúr informed about this on Friday. “The retirement age of insured persons born before 1967 is known and is listed in the table that forms an annex to the Social Insurance Act. A clear table of the retirement age is also published on the SP websiteKontúr said.

Insureds born after 1966 will have their retirement age known five years in advance and raising the retirement age will be linked again to life expectancy. The retirement age will be determined by a measure of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (MPSVR) of the Slovak Republic for the first time in 2025. At that time, the department also sets the retirement age for insured persons born in 1967.

Furthermore, according to the SP, it is true that even after increasing the retirement age and linking it to the automatic system according to the average life expectancy, the retirement age of the insured person who raised a child will be reduced by six months for each child raised. A maximum of 18 months if he raised three or more children.
