Banker Jeniffer Castro, who became famous for refusing to change her window seat on a flight, argued live with the mother of the child at the center of the fight. The moment happened on Wednesday night (12) during the program “SuperPop”, on RedeTV!, presented by Luciana Gimenez.

“I want people to understand that I am not Jeniffer’s enemy, that I am not angry with Jeniffer”, began Aline. Afterwards, the presenter thanks her for participating in the program, but she continues talking to the banker.

“Jeniffer, I hope that you continue in your career and that you succeed… I don’t wish you harm, okay”, he said. Jeniffer, however, disagreed with the statement: “But that’s not what I see because you’re demanding a statement from me, but you also have to demand it from the other person.”

This is because the video released on social media was not recorded by the child’s mother, but by a woman called Eluciana Cardoso, who witnessed the confusion.

“I didn’t ask them to record a video of me and put it on the internet, I wasn’t the one who had to make a statement”, continued the banker. Aline then disagreed: “I say you had the opportunity to clarify the facts.”

Understand the case

The video went viral this Wednesday (4), generating controversy on social media. The image shows a woman with headphones in the plane window seat. It was recorded and exposed by a woman called Eluciana Cardoso, after she refused to change places with a child, who was not her son.

In the footage, passenger Jeniffer Castro has her eyes closed, leaning close to the aircraft window, while a woman records and criticizes her for not giving up her seat for her son.

“I even asked if she had a syndrome, something, because if a person has a problem, a disability, we understand. But the person has nothing and doesn’t want to change anything!”, accused the woman.

When she realized she was being recorded, the passenger calmly took off her headphones and questioned the exposure.

Eluciana continued with the insults. “I’m recording your face, because you have no empathy with people. This is disgusting, in the 21st century, people can’t empathize with a child. If it were with an adult, that would be fine, now with a child it’s too much,” he said.

After the disagreement, Eluciana’s daughter posted the video on social media, hoping for support. However, most people criticized the attitude.
